I first started using avocado oil about three years ago. It's a very lightweight non-greasy oil, much like jojoba oil. Avocado oil however has high quantities of monounsaturated fats which makes it great for natural hair. You can use avocado oil as: a carrier oil hot oil treatment sealant add to a conditioner detangler I personally love using avocado oil as a prepoo. Just mix together a 1/2 cup of whipped coconut oil, 1 tablespoon of honey along with 1/4 cup of avocado oil.  Apply the mixture to wet or damp hair and finger detangle gently.
